Warmth

At night she dreams
about holding your hand and
sleeping next to you so she can hear
your pounding heart.
She doesn't want
to do anything but be
by you and feel your warmth.
Sometimes she laces
her fingers together and pretend
that it's your hand she's holding.
She saw you today and wanted
so much to run up to you
and wrap her arms around you.
Your shirt looked super soft
and the sweater you had on
kept you from looking cold while
she was freezing
in her light sweater. 

She wants
to be close to you
but you
don't believe in PDA.
She understands.
She wouldn't want
people seeing you together either because
your her secret boyfriend, her bodyguard.
It's ok though.
You know she likes you and
she knows you love her.
